Over the past few decades and more so as of recent, I have written quite a large amount of songs. As much as there is benefit in recording these songs in a more proper studio setting with separate tracks and fine tuning – I realize that this would take a significant amount of time and life is short. With this said, my plan is to at the very least – record these songs at my home in a live setting (no overdubs/fixing mistakes). Although the songs will not sound as polished/produced, I believe the energy/freshness of the moment will inspire some good performances/recordings that will accurately represent/document the song within the catalog I am attempting to build. The catalog will be comprised of what I call batches. Batches makes me think of cookies coming right out of the oven. Here is hoping I capture some of that warmth and sweetness 🙂
